About Department

Department of Electronics & Telecommunication in Imperial College of Engineering & Research was established in the year of 2006 with a student intake of 60 for Under Graduation course. Today the intake capacity is 120 students for Under Graduation course and 24 students for Post Graduation course (Signal Processing - Shift I). Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering is a dynamic and exciting area that has provided and will continue to provide excellent career options, opportunities in various sectors of society. Our faculty is committed to give our students an environment where they develop critical thinking and problem solving skills as they advance through the program. In addition to classroom teaching, the students are guided and motivated to practically implement the principles learnt in classrooms through experimentation in laboratories which help students gain confidence and become skilled engineering professionals. The faculty is striving to guide students to fulfill their dreams and prepare to face the challenges of future.

To provide platform for coping with rapidly changing industrial and societal needs through collaborative add-on courses.

Program Educational Objective(PEO)

PEO 1:To provide sound theoretical & practical knowledge in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering managerial & entrepreneurial skills.
PEO 2:To develop the graduates with solid foundation in Mathematical, Scientific, Electronics& Telecommunication engineering fundamentals to solve real life problems.
PEO 3:To prepare graduates to demonstrate their multidisciplinary expertise to meet contemporary requirements.
PEO4:Graduates shall be equipped with skills like communication, team work ethics & leadership in preparation for their successful career.

Program Specific Outcome(PSO)

PSO1:Understand concepts of E&TC Engineering in various areas such as Electronics, Communication, Signal processing, VLSI, Embedded Systems for the design & implementation of complex Systems.
PSO2:Solve complex E&TC Engineering problems with latest hardware, software tools to arrive at cost& appropriate solutions.
PSO3:Design a system which will meet the desired needs with realistic constraints such as economic,social & ethical.

Departmental library

ICOER Electronics & Telecommunication Library was started in the year 2009-10. Library has a rich collection of text books, reference books, national journal in electronics & telecommunication engineering the collection is ever increasing.
The books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. Open access system is followed in the library. Digital content of subjects are saved in computer of library .student have access of it to download the contents .Contents include NPTEL video links, e-books, e-journal, notes etc. related to subjects.
We the dept. have membership with British Council Library, National Digital Library. Students can search journals, paper for project from this digital library.
Along with books, in library project reports of BE & ME are also available for reference. Students can avail book bank scheme, under this they can issue books for whole semester.
