Bridge Courses
The institute does provide bridge courses for the topics having gaps in the syllabus.
The respective subject teachers are generally identifying the gap in their respective subjects through proper discussions at orientation program arranged by university, at DIAB meetings.
Also the teachers are taking help of senior faculty from department or senior/expert faculty from other institutes to find out the gaps in the course designed by SPPU.

Add on/ Enrichment
The institute also works out following strategies to bridge the knowledge gap:
The department has different domain committees who review the curriculum and find the gap between curriculums to meet the targeted program outcomes.
The alumni of the institution along with industry person and academicians help the students in orienting them towards the industry requirements and to gain skills for presentation in their career opportunities.
Articles /publications relating to engineering projects and other fields are put up on the notice board.
Students are also exposed to various e-Learning resources like, e-books and NPTEL (National Program for Technologically Enhanced Learning) videos on different engineering aspects.
The students remaining absent for the lectures and whose attendance is found to be less than minimum, specified by SPPU are strictly monitored. GFM of such students keep close interaction with their parents and time to time performance report of their child is communicated. This practice would continue until remarkable and satisfactory performance improvement is not achieved.
Technical site visits and industry visits are conducted to understand the actual implementation of concepts studied while learning and also to expose new technologies/concepts in the related area.
Faculty members provide extra efforts to the students by giving information on contents beyond syllabus to enrich their knowledge.
Enrichment courses like Personality Development program, Soft skill course program, certification program in latest technologies and various technological workshops, seminars are also conducted to improve student’s personality and motivate them for an innovative and creative mindset.
